BOSOM and Zhejiang University Successfully Hold Postdoctoral Project Review for Jointly-Trained Researcher

Hangzhou, China – September 8, 2023 – The project proposal review for a postdoctoral researcher jointly cultivated by BOSOM New Materials (BOSOM) and Zhejiang University was successfully held at BOSOM on the morning of September 8. This event marks another significant step in the high-level talent cultivation and industry-academia-research integration between the two parties.
The review panel was chaired by Professor Xiong Shusheng, a doctoral supervisor from the College of Energy Engineering at Zhejiang University. Other panel members included Professor Li Yongjin, a doctoral supervisor from the School of Materials, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering at Hangzhou Normal University, and Professor Fang Zhengping, a doctoral supervisor from Zhejiang University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Jin Wenjie, the postdoctoral researcher employed by BOSOM, along with BOSOM's R&D Director Dong Baoping, Senior Engineer Bu Yangfan, and General Manager Zhou Yongsong.
During the presentation session, Dr. Jin Wenjie delivered a comprehensive report on his research project, "Synthesis of Novel Phosphorus-Based Flame Retardants and Their Application in Nylon." This project focuses on cutting-edge applications of high-performance engineering plastics, aligning closely with BOSOM's technological strategy and development needs in the field of modified engineering plastics. After thorough discussion, the expert panel unanimously agreed that the project possesses clear industrial relevance and significant application value, granting official approval for the commencement of the research.
General Manager Zhou Yongsong emphasized at the meeting, "For a company to excel, science and technology are the primary productive forces." He particularly commended Dr. Jin for his diligent and hands-on research attitude during his workshop internship. BOSOM's R&D Director Dong Baoping stated that the company remains committed to actively responding to the national call for enterprises to establish postdoctoral workstations. By deepening university-enterprise collaboration, BOSOM aims to drive technological R&D and the commercialization of research outcomes, thereby infusing sustained intellectual support into the company's innovation pipeline.
